My Review
I may be an idiot but I'm smart enough to read up on things I try to do and so my first review for this site is for a book on how to write book reviews. This book provides a straightforward guide to writing book reviews including the activities both before and after the actual writing process of getting review copies and getting your reviews published. This is not an esoteric trip through literary theory or abstract critical concepts - this is a very concrete guide from someone who has done it and done it successfully. This book focuses more on breaking into reviewing for new publications than it does saying something new or deep about long published works. Not that I will say anything new or deep here either.
